We are delighted to announce that Woodland Group has achieved 'Employer Provider' status for apprenticeship training.

Following Woodland's recent application to the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) and a lot of work behind the scenes, we are delighted to announce that we have successfully passed the assessment to become an accredited employer provider. 

We have worked hard to see a steady rise in apprenticeship numbers across the Group, making this a vital step in creating a more sustainable apprenticeship programme for the business. 

We now employ over three times as many apprentices as we did 18 months ago, and are set to achieve a ten-fold increase in the next two years. Our inclusive approach to recruitment involves no minimum entry requirements for our apprenticeships, preferring to review applications based on suitability to the role. Vacancies are promoted and accessible to people of all backgrounds, and learners are supported to achieve functional skills qualifications, with ongoing investment in workforce learning and development.

Now, we can ensure excellence in the development and delivery of the training and progression of apprenticeships, and will build bespoke training programmes, starting with a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative level 2 qualification.

Going forward, the next 6 months will see us develop our own internal training for this standard, whilst ensuring that we adhere to learning outcomes set out by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.

Our training centre of excellence will deliver the Warehouse apprenticeship via a number of different learning modes including:

• eLearning
• Classroom Training
• Coursework/Essays
• On the Job Training
• Practical Experience with machinery, manual handling etc.
