Tug Driver / Yard Shunter

Job Purpose

Provide safe and efficient movement of trailers and containers to clients based on the iPort site.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient movement trailers.
• Maintain customer and business KPI’s
• Knowledge of appropriate Health & Safety legislation
• Responsible for timely deliveries to on site clients
• Customer liaison and effective communications
• Maintain IT and business systems processes
• Daily reporting of operating KPI’s
• Monitor efficient movement of Containers

Qualifications

• Education – Minimum GCSE English & Mathematics
• Specialised knowledge – Experience of driving a tug/Yard shunter preferable but not essential as we have on site training for the right person
• Skills – Good communicator – Self Motivating – Team player – Leadership skills
• Abilities – To work alone and in team environment

Working conditions

4 on 4 off shift.

4 12hr days, 4 off, 4 12hr nights, 4 off
